In addition to the fun and excitement of your Adventure WV summer trip, there is required course work that must be completed in order to receive a grade for the fall semester. Here is a brief description of some of the course assignments:

Course Textbook : All students are required to purchase the new University 101 textbook - FOCUS on College Success,which is available at the University bookstore.

Course Syllabus: Click on your program number to download/print the course syllabus. E1, E2, E3, E4, E5, E6, E7, E8 (Lincoln) , H9, H10, H11, H12, P13, P14, P15, P16, B17, B18, B19, O20, O21, O22, O23, O24, O25

Classroom Meetings: We will meet in the classroom twice during the fall semester.

Online Quizzes : While we will only meet in the classroom twice during the fall semester, students are required to keep up with the readings and complete a total of 6 online quizzes throughout the semester..

Equipment and Forms: You will be required to sign and turn in all forms on time (indicated in information package). You will also be required to have all of the items on the equipment list.

Journal: You will need to bring a journal on the summer trip. Time will be allotted each evening for you to reflect and write about the days events and evening discussions.

Class Participation: Each evening during the summer trip we will have campfire discussions about many issues facing college freshmen.

Goal Letter : The goal letter will be written during the summer expedition. The letter will outline your goals for your first semester at WVU, including goals for academics, personal development, social skills, and anything else you want to accomplish.

Reflection Paper: After completion of the summer program you are required to write a 4-7 page paper on the experience.

Civic Engagement Project: Each student is required to complete a 3-5 hour civic engagement project during the fall semester.
