Bio: Lindsey love being outside no matter the activity, but my favorites are rockclimbing, skiing, backpacking and outdoor napping. I also enjoy dancing, junk-store-shopping and any kind of "positive risky behavior".

Gin Garton

Name: Gin Garton

Bio: Gin was an Explore WV participant in 2004. She's been sky diving, whitewater rafting on the New and Cheat Rivers and spent last spring break backpacking around Moab, Utah with the WVU Outdoor Recreation Center. She will be leading the ORC's trip to Big Bend Texas over winter break this year.

Name: Abigail McDonald (aka Ronny)

Bio: Abby can usually be found at the climbing wall or off backpacking somewhere on the weekends. Abby was an Explore WV participant when she was a freshman. She hopes to one day join the Peace Corps and attend graduate school. Abby is active in the Sociology and Criminology Club.

Amanda Bohrman

Bio: Amanda will likely be spotted walking or biking around Morgantown. She loves traveling for the experience of new environments and people. She enjoys playing in water, on rocks and on mountains. She spends free time doing community service projects including disaster relief work in Florida and in New Orleans, LA.

Kevin Shon

Hometown: Manassas, VA

Bio: Kevin has been an Adventure West Virginia leader for three consecutive seasons and loves every minute! Come August, Kevin will receive a B.S. in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Resources Management with a focus in Outdoor Education. When not leading trips, Kevin can be found in the hills of Appalachia doing what he loves best: ADVENTURING! Whether he is backpacking, biking, rafting or climbing, Kevin is at home outside. Passionate about teaching and empowering others in the out-of-doors, Kevin is committed to helping incoming WVU freshmen "learn the ropes." Around campus he has been a member of the WVU Student Rec. Center climbing wall staff, Outdoor Recreation Center staff manager, has volunteered time with MARG (Mountaineer Area Rescue Group), a local volunteer wilderness rescue team, and several other campus organizations.

When you see Kevin on campus, don't forget to give him a giant "thumbs up" or "hang loose"!

Greg Corio

Major: Masters from WVU in Recreation, Parks and Tourism Resources

Bio: Greg has both his BA and MS degree from WVU's Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Resources Program. He has been teaching in the field of Experiential Education for eight years. When not leading trips with his partner "Happy-the black lab", he can be found sea kayaking, ice climbing, backpacking, and just about any other outdoor activity you can think of.

Forrest Schwartz

Bio: Forrest received a B.S. in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Resources at WVU in 2001, and received a Master's degree in recreation with an emphasis in adventure-based counseling and experiential education in December, 2005. He enjoys rock climbing, kayaking, backpacking, and all things snow. When not playing outside Forrest can be found drumming with local bands and eating at the Black Bear restaurant.

Brian Shope

Bio: Brian is not really a student here, but he enjoys WVU all the same.  He's married to Megan, who actually is a student here.  We can be seen from time to time on the Rail-Trail, walking our kid, I mean dog, Maggie.  Brian also enjoys playing soccer or ultimate, or any other competive sport, and just about anything that involves ones outside participation.

Bio: Carly is still in Morgantown after seven years trying to finish her Masters Degree, teaching Spanish & horse back guiding in beautiful Appalachia. Carly has the traveling bug and enjoys roadtripping to Alaska, living abroad, riding horses on the beach, swimming with sharks, going on safaris, hitch-hiking through different hemispheres...& always looking forward to her next adventure.

Bio: Carrie is currently working towards her MA in Counseling, specializing in school counseling, completing her practicum this fall and then internship this spring, and then bring on graduation!  She is enjoying leading various trips this summer including Backpack, Paddle, and Habitat WV.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends back home, basking in the summer sun, and cheering on the Mountaineers at football and basketball games!

Bio: Jason leads trips and helps manage gear rentals as the Graduate Assistant for the WVU Outdoor Recreation Center.  You might see him commuting to and from class and the rec center on his bicycle, sometimes with groceries in his crate.  Jason is a fan of community-friendly transportation in Morgantown (take advantage of the PRT and Mountain Line!).  He enjoys traveling and plans on riding his bicycle around the world someday.

Bio: I received my B.S. from Toccoa Falls College in northeast Georgia. Although my degree is in Business Administration, I plan on working outside as much as possible. Having spent the last year in California teaching outdoor education, I am now excited about working in outdoor education in the long-term. I love being outside and spend most of my free time climbing, mountain biking, snowboarding, or running. Favorite place to climb: Seneca Rocks, West Virginia. Favorite place to mountain bike: Pisgah, North Carolina. Favorite place to snowboard: Heavenly ski resort, South Lake Tahoe, California.
