Consider It, Curb It, or Cut It

Interested in learning more about living tobacco or vape free? This six week cooperative program will provide you with the tools necessary to consider, curb, or cut your tobacco and vaping use entirely. Partnered with Adventure WV,the WVU Department of Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling and Counseling Psychology and the WVU Medicine Cancer Institute, this program will not only include information about tobacco products and how they affect your body, but also healthy lifestyle activities.

New Legislation / New Opportunity

In December 2019, federal legislation was included that raised the legal age of sale for tobacco products from 18 to 21.

With this legislation, an opportunity now exists for many students. With the majority of the WVU population under the legal age of sale, the Consider it, Curb It or Cut It program will equip participants with real knowledge so they can make their own choice.

This also marks a great opportunity for faculty, staff and the general public. With change comes opportunity, and the Consider It, Curb it or Cut it program is designed to inform participants so they can make an educated decision.

Learn about nicotine replacement therapies and begin investing in your future-self. Participants will have opportunities to learn more about Adventure WV and Campus Rec activities, and actually be given time to participate. Participation in Adventure WV and Camps Rec activities are not a requirement, however, nor will they impact an individuals ability to successfully complete the course. Participants will be subject to specific eligibility criteria for activities lead by Adventure WV and WVU Campus Rec.
