Who can Participate?
Guided trips are open to all SRC members. Trips are designed for WVU students as the primary audience. Sponsored guests may be able to attend at the discretion of Adventure WV management. All participants must meet the Essential Eligibility Criteria.
Students may pay through their STAR account (In person registration only). Others may pay with credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover).
If you have already participated in a certain break, extended, or international trip and register for it again the following year (for example, you participated in the 2021 Florida Spring Break Trip and want to register again for the 2022 Florida Spring Break Trip), you will automatically be placed on the waitlist. This is to ensure that spots remain open for students who have never participated in the trip.
Adventure WV reserves the right to prohibit a person's registration due to documented behavioral incidents from past AWV programs. These instances will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
Refunds will only be given to those who give notice more than one week prior to the trip that they cannot attend. Extended trips that require more planning must be canceled 30 days in advance and may include a non-refundable deposit. A refund may be given after this time if a replacement can be found from the trip’s wait list.
Leaders for the trips are students who have gone through an extensive outdoor leadership class and have worked as Adventure West Virginia leaders over the summer. To learn about becoming a staff member visit our Student Staff page.
Overnight trips will include a pre-trip meeting. This meeting is mandatory for trip participants. It will include valuable information, such as appropriate clothing, necessary gear, what food to bring, the trip plan, and any necessary paperwork.
