Each summer, incoming Mountaineers begin their WVU journey on an Adventure WV First-Year Trip. Explore the options below and choose the experience that feels right for you.
All Trips $95 or less
No outdoor experience required.

Quest
Coopers Rock State Forest and Morgantown, WVOur most flexible First-Year Trip.
A relaxed adventure exploring Coopers Rock, Morgantown, and the places you’ll soon call home.
Activities: Hiking, climbing, riverfront biking and paddling, and WV travel day

About QuestTrek
New River Gorge National Park and Fayetteville, WVOur New River Gorge adventure.
Explore West Virginia's national park through rafting, hiking, and unforgettable views.
Activities: Whitewater rafting, Bridge Walk, Stand-up paddleboarding, hiking, and a local farm visit
About TrekExplore
Seneca Creek, or Dolly Sods, and Fayetteville, WVExplore the wild & wonderful side of WV.
Backpack into the Monongahela National Forest and finish with whitewater rafting down the New River Gorge.
Activities: Backpacking and whitewater rafting
