The ORC, located in the free zone of the Student Recreation Center, is the outdoor hub for students, faculty and staff at WVU.
Guiding Your Next Outdoor Adventure
The Outdoor Recreation Center facility is home to three main areas of Adventure WV: guided trips, equipment rental and an outdoor recreation library/resource center featuring WV DIY Outdoors. The variety of programs offered through the Outdoor Recreation Center (ORC) are designed for everyone from children to adults. Beginner to advanced skill level programming is offered year-round.
Outdoor Equipment Rentals
A wide variety of quality outdoor gear is available for rental at the ORC. Available
gear includes tents, backpacks, camp stoves, recreational kayaks and more. WVU
students, faculty, staff, affiliated employees and their families are eligible
to rent.
Guided Trips
Get out outside to explore new places, gain skills, meet new people, and have fun. A wide range of trips focusing on beginner opportunities in backpacking, kayaking, climbing, camping, hiking, bicycling, skiing and more.
