Experience the outdoors and local Morgantown community with other incoming first-years!

HERE'S WHAT TO EXPECT:

Climbing Icon

Rock Climbing 

Experience outdoor rock climbing at Coopers Rock State Forest. We provide all the equipment from the helmet to the shoes!

Yurts

Quest participants spend their trip sleeping in our yurts at the Outdoor Education Center. Each yurt has bunk beds with mattresses.

Service Project

Spend a morning contributing to our local community! These hours can count towards community service hours at WVU.

White Water Rafting

All our trips offer a rafting component! You’ll enjoy a day on the Youghiogheny River with all your peers guided by Laurel Highlands.

ALL FIRST-YEAR TRIPS ARE SIMILAR AT THEIR CORE.

  • Trips are $95 or less. Quest is $65.
  • All technical and camping equipment is provided
  • Require no prior experience
  • Offer 1 Fall academic credit
  • Establish a support system and community prior to stepping on campus
  • Include meaningful discussions about the college transition
  • Peer-led by highly trained student staff
