Garrett Weigel hails from Wheeling, West Virginia but has called Morgantown home for much of his educational and professional career. Once a percussionist and singer, Garrett used his talents while pursuing his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theater Design and Technology. Garrett followed his undergraduate career with a Master of Public Administration degree.
He received both degrees from his home among the hills, WVU. In his free time, Garrett appreciates adventuring the great outdoors by land, air and sea. Garrett spends much of his time rock climbing and paddling with friends and takes a unique indoor talent outdoors. Garrett enjoys the art of aerial silks, setting up shop on rock overhangs. In doing so, Garrett allows his friends to immerse themselves in this angelic craft while being one with nature.
Over the years, Garrett gained experience with rope work in theater and outdoor aerial elements, preparing him greatly for his role at the Outdoor Education Center. Garrett is a Program and Operations Manager at the OEC, where he oversees all facility operations and programming related to the aerial adventure courses. During his time with the OEC, Garrett hopes to educate the Adventure WV staff and local community as well as expand program offerings at the rope and zipline courses.
